Hey there, how's it going? Noobie here who is movies from the Hi-Fi Headphone world to the Hi-Fi Speaker world(Kind of, still keeping some headphones). I'm hoping to gain some insight on where best to spend my money, to make a great sounding setup for my computer. My budget is $800 Max, give or take a few bucks. Here is what I've got so far:
1) Grab a Keces DA-151 USB DAC
2) Grab a Pioneer A-35R for the Amp(Need more input on this)
3) Grab either a PSB B25 or AV123 X-LS Encore(Also need more input)
i have finally got the chance to get a decent stero system after moving from an apartment into my own house its been about 20 years since i had a really loud system so i bought a Pioneer VSX-82TXS reciever and a set of cerwin vega VE 15 speakers it sounds okay at moderate volumes but when i try to crank it up past 70 % it sounds like crap i am not getting the strong base i expected and the tweeters give up at anything above 70 % volume i am thinking that its the recievers problem not being able to output enough power to the speakers or have i just wasted my money on these speakers?
I am trying to figure out how to do this, I appreciate the help.
First, I am trying to use a DAC707 and output to my project head box. Foobar is my software. I hooked the 707 from a port on my router into its "ctl" port. The 707 just hums and the input light does not come on. I dont think I am missing anything on the hardware side? I think I just dont know how to setup the software end of things.
Thanks for the help
chris
Hi
Ive been around the forum off and on for about two years now. During this time ive been constantly searching for a system that sounds like live music and not as I call it " hifi " sounding, that is detailed and polite but with no real energy.
