REG loves to comment on JA's measurements, but he never includes any measurents in his TAS reviews.
Here's his Harbeth listening room:
I really appreciated the comments that you made concerning the musical vacuum that one finds on so-called "audiophile records." Another audio publication (one that prides itself on not having any measurements in its reviews) published an article a few months ago with a list of sound spactaculars--that wasn't the name of the article, but you get the idea. These include loud drum records, the musically empty soundtrack from The Thin Red Line, some of Villa Lobos' worst music, etc. etc. I cannot understand why anyone would want to use fine equipment to play musical trash.
Hello All-
I'm looking for an affordable (less than $50) record clamp to go with my Pro-Ject 1.2. The two that I've seen that might fit the bill are:
KAB USA (whom I know nothing about):

Clearaudio: Clever Clamp
Does anyone have any experience with either of these or other suggestions? In case it affects the answer I am using a Audioquest Sorathane record mat, which I'm not married to.
I recently purchased some Infinity 162's for my patio system and was hoping someone had suggestions or a link for some cheap outdoor stands. Looking to purchase not build.
Thanks.
