Fried Compact 7 loudspeaker Second Sample Measurements

Fried Compact 7 loudspeaker Second Sample Measurements

Fried Products Corporation's Compact 7 is a two-way, standmounted loudspeaker with a 1" ring-radiator tweeter and a 7" woven glass-fiber–coned mid-woofer in a "line tunnel" enclosure. Its cabinet is substantial and well made, with handsome real-wood veneers. The speakers come in mirror-imaged pairs, the tweeters offset toward the inside. The Compact 7 is unusual in that its mid-woofer is above its tweeter, which is likely related to the line-tunnel bass loading. Fried insists that the speakers be placed at least 28" above the floor, which dictate I followed.

Line Level PreAmp: KingRex v. Audio Source

Hey guys,

Alright, so I have been enjoying myself in my room with Polk RTi A1s on my wall and a nicely modified low power T-Amp driving them. I have two audio sources: a Sony Playstation 1 (CD) and a Rega P1 with a Rega Mini MM Phono and a Ortofon 30. Yet I feel that I need a line level preamp.

That one album I want to catch hold of

Hello Folks,
Since the vinyl bug bit me, I have been feverishly raiding the used record stores around my area and have found some awsome stuff, like Rick Wright - Wet Dream, Mason - Profiles, Shakti with John Mclaughlin - Natural Elements, A Handful of Beauty and many more. Now I have a big list of records that I want to buy and this has inspired me for the current post.

What are the rare albums that you were/are looking for , that you would die to own (cd or vinyl). Have you found rare albums before and how was it to listen to them. I would like to hear your story.

Forums

just a question for discussion. has anyone else discovered this series of dvd performances from these giants in the legacy of jazz on www.jazzicons.com? i wish the sound was not mono but i have used the series to introduce my kids to jazz in a way they understand...video. linear booklets are informative as well. sort of like a pbs broadcast without the solistations. the dvds are available seperately or in 3 bundles.
