So anyone actually hear this 14 minute track, live, back in '67?

Here was an interesting review of a not so affordable Snell speaker with excellent engineering. Graphs 4 and 7 looks so similar, and unlike the previous graphs of the Harbeths.

It must be that LG has done a great job in his listening room of dealing with reflected energy for a room and an anechoic graph to be so similar. He also seems to not have overly damped the room to kill HF energy. LG is on to something for sure. WP's space seems to decrease HF energy most of the time it seems.

I'm currently using a Yamaha RX-V730 AV receiver for both TV/movies and music (Cambridge Audio 640C CD player as source) but wish to move towards "better" sound. I will upgrade my speakers - presently Mission 762s - but am considering amplification questions at the moment. I would appreciate advice on two levels: 1) Will a higher-end AV receiver provide decent sound compared to a two-channel integrated amp?

Does anyone know what this is exactly and how it works/benefits? Is this two amps in parallel with each Amps left output feeding the left speaker and same right? Or is it putting an amp on each speaker?

All the tweeter stores are closing in Chicagoland.

While this is not necessarily a big deal for serious audio people Tweeter did sell a lot of higher end kit to the mainstream. Brands like Focal, Krell, Cambridge etc.

Is there any way to connect two sources with balanced outputs to a power amp? My sources are a CDP with a balanced output (Cairn Fog v3) and a cheap tuner. I'd spend the money on a tuner with balanced outputs if it meant avoiding a preamp altogether.
Not an urgent issue since I'm happy with my current integrated. If I ever felt the need to upgrade on the power side, it would be great to have the benefits of the direct connection while avoiding the expense of a preamp.

Went to a record store in Hoboken and saw a few of those new Blue Note reissues which include RVG CDs... each LP+CD package costs $20.99. Picked up Dexter Gordon's "Go." The verdict? Not freaking bad! Sounds pretty damn good, if not dropkick-in-the-head good as the Music Matters or Analogue Productions 45s. Frankly, I was worried that I was paying for something inferior, as the EMI Radiohead LPs were disappointing to me... but I'm a happy camper, will be buying more of these. For less than half the price of Music Matters 45s, definitely easier on the wallet.

I have been in and out of love with listening to music for years and years. I have also perused this forum before and been lost in lists of equipment names (I've heard of McIntosh, does that count?) as well as been daunted by the high priced gear reviewed in the Stereophile articles. Only now am I beginning to think that some fraction of this gear might not be completely out of reach.
