Key Democrats oppose Obama's tax deduction plan

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama's proposal to limit itemized tax deductions for high earners is running into opposition from key Democrats in Congress who worry that charities and the housing market would be hurt. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus questioned Wednesday whether the proposal was viable, a day after his House counterpart also expressed reservations.

Digital RIAA Preamp

After reading M. Fremer's article a thought occurred to me, does anybody make a preamp that does the RIAA equalization in the digital domain? It seems like it might be a better way than the usual active/passive route. I remember a Theta Digital preamp that was a preamp with a built in DAC. I'm surprised that a phono wasn't added too.

Just got some tubes for rolling into the phono stage...some NOS Telefunken ECC83 (12AX7s). Came in a box of confetti....

These are truly tasty Tele's.....considerably more detail, sweet mids, smooth highs, greater transparency. I could hear the improvements the second the stylus hit the vinyl...oh yeah.

Finally see what the fuss is about.
