Have you ever bought an album just for the cover? How did it turn out?

Everyone knows not to judge an album by its cover. But sometimes we can't resist the visual allure created to tempt the unwary shopper. Have you ever bought an album just for the cover? How did it turn out?

Once Telarc, Now Five/Four

Once Telarc, Now Five/Four

Three years ago, as the shift to downloadable media gathered momentum, Concord Music Group purchased Telarc International. The suspicion of those who then saw the handwriting on the wall were confirmed this past December, when a company-wide restructuring by CMG included the layoffs of 27 Telarc employees. Among those now on their own are the entire Telarc Production Department, as well as former classical publicist Amanda Sweet.

Conrad Johnson Premier 4 or Prima Luna 6/7

First timer here. I'm looking for a few expert opinions on which of the above amps I should grab. I've read great things about the Prima Luna line and I've also heard the CJ, which I think sounds really sweet.

Has anyone here heard the PL's and a comparable CJ amp? Do you have an opinion on which sounds better? I listen to pop & rock primarily with a 10% dose of piano jazz thrown in.

Thanks!

Death toll continues for B. Hussien Barack

Authorities: 1 dead, 134 rescued from Lake Erie. Why wasn't FEMA prepared for this? 1 dead. 1 dead too many.

The day began with fishermen setting down wooden pallets to create a bridge over a crack in the ice so they could roam farther out on the lake. But the planks fell into the water when the ice shifted, stranding the fishermen about 1,000 yards off shore.

Rega-P1

This week I broke down and purchased the Rega P-1 for $400 with shipping from Needle Doctor (highly recommend them!). It was very easy to set up although the instructions left a lot to be desired and for the money this is a great turntable.
