New Decemberists LP

Got an email today from The Decemberists' PR person who read my selfdivider.com blog (which I haven't been doing a good job updating)... she wants me to listen to the advanced copy of The Hazard of Love, the new LP from The Decemberists that's due out in March & hopefully write about it. Sweet... I asked her if she can send me the vinyl I've read about the album, supposed to be this 17-song suite with a narrative, kind of like a rock opera... can't wait. Will let y'all know more later...

APC on Sale

Well, I couldn't think of where else to post this since there is no "Other" category under Audio Hardware (hint) and I want to stay away from General Rants n Raves

Anyway, came across this - http://www.audioholics.com/news/industry-news/apc-silver-blowout-sale/

Seems like very attractive pricing. What do you all think of the H10 and H15 products? Good buy at these prices?

Thanks,

Bob

The value of music as a commodity, and as one of mankind's wonders, has never been in such flux. Retail record shops are dying, the former major labels are focused on making records for kids (the same kids they're suing), and the business overall remains wedded to an incredibly short view (get a hit or get out), but the music itself continues to trickle through to those who want it—and, yes, on some level would die without it.
