Hi
No matter what i try with equipment i cannot seem to get away from a stereo imagery that is left biased.
Ive tried all sorts of equipment including cables and speakers. The issue is to do with the acoustics of the speaker locations. My problem is that its not that easy to relocate everything.
Is there any tricks or things that i can look for to correct this imbalance ? i dont have balance controls on my amp so its not that easy.
Thanks
Alan
I am shopping around for a versatile system to run my laptop, cd collection (on my oppo), and records (on my rega p1). I am on a tight budget looking to spend under 1500. I was looking at the Nuforce Icon and maybe pairing it up with some paradigm atoms v.5s but want to be able to run my Rega p1 turntable.
My first post here, hi to you all:)
I am surpised nobody has mentioned this new heapdhone/stereo card - Xonar Essence STX - from ASUS.
Built in High impedance headphone amplifier and high grade components boasting a SNR of 124dB. That is a very nice SNR and I do think it is definitely capable of making your PC on par with some of the much more expansive CD players or headphone amplifiers.
Here are some of the reviews that I've been collected from google search, and they're all very impressive...

I have always been a loud speaker listener in the past.
Bought a pair of Shure in ear earphones for aircraft use.
At work I have an old pair of RS Optimus headphones. Brought in my Shure earphones to compare. The mids and highs were so much better with the Shures but there was no bass at all. Is this typical?
