Looking for recommendations of well recorded classical CD's

Hello all, with the recent upgrade to my home built speakers, and having just replaced my Denon 2910 with a Cambridge Audio 840C - I want to expand my listening base - the 2-3 classical CD's I have are by Naxos and sound like the microphone's were on the other side of a very thick curtain - the sound is thin, distant and cloudy -Can any one recommend 2-3 good starter classical Cd's that are open, airy and detailed - Artist, Label and serial no. if possible -Thanks...

Will Congress read the Cap & Tax bill before tomorrows vote?

Apparently not..One can hope it dies a well deserved death tomorrow

Quote:

The foundation points out that while the bill, formally called the American Clean Energy and Security Act, was 946 pages long last week, it has ballooned to 1,201 pages in recent days with little explanation for how or why. The group is supporting a bill introduced last week that would require the House to post all non-emergency legislation online 72 hours before debate begins

Here in the office, I am (like most jerks in the corporate world) constantly juggling several tasks at once. Sometimes these tasks seem to have absolutely nothing to do with one another, and nothing to do with the making of a magazine. So it goes. To keep everything from crashing down at my nervous, trembling feet, I scribble little reminders on yellow Post-it notes and stick them to everything around me: Post-it notes on my computer screen, Post-it notes on my telephone, Post-it notes on my calendar, Post-it notes on my stapler, etc.

Stereophile Parent Emerges from Chaper 11

To put minds at rest - particularly those of our competitors :-) - Source Interlink's board issued the following communique yesterday:

"We are pleased to inform you that on Friday, June 20, 2009 our company completed its reorganization. At the opening of business Monday morning, we began business afresh as a private company with significantly less debt and more capital resources."

As I said back in May when the Chapter 11 filing was first announced, it will now not just be business as usual but business _better_ than usual.
