AV receiver to Powered speakers

Hi everyone,

My first post, but long time lurker. I am interested in buying a Sony STRDH800 AV receiver, and at the moment I have a pair of M-Audio AV30 speakers. Now I am a complete novice, and I really don't understand connections and such like, but I will try to explain what the speakers are like and what I want to know if I can do.

The speakers are mains powered, and the left hand speaker has a built in amp and power supply, and is then fed to the right speaker by some speaker wire. The inputs to the speaker are red and white RCA phono plugs.

Audio DVD Creator

I installed a Sony DVD burner in my Dell Laptop and then installed Audio DVD creator per TaterBones recommendations and wha la...2496 music on +R media just like he promised. Saved them as WAV 2496 pcm. The software is $40. The Sony burner cost me $60.

I am using an Echo Indigo 2496 IO card (driver 7.3) for recording and the sound is very good and played first time in my Sony 755 DVD/SACD player. The 2 tracks I burned played great. Not a single hitch. but, this is only a short test run.

WANTED:Volunteer pianist for mic tests in NYC Saturday afternoon.

Hi-

All my pianist friends are tied up, and Jerry Bruck and I want to try out a couple of new pairs of mics on the awesome Stuart & Sons piano he is now babysitting. I can hardly get through "A Whiter Shade of Pale," and so we need someone whose playing doesn't suck so we can move the mics around and not groan while doing it.

Jerry's studio is on West 26th.

We are shooting to start around 3:30 or 4:00 PM, and go for an hour or so.

Biocentrism: Can it change the past? Does it allow for immortality?

"Consider an experiment that was recently published in the journal Science showing that scientists could retroactively change something that had happened in the past. Particles had to decide how to behave when they hit a beam splitter. Later on, the experimenter could turn a second switch on or off. It turns out that what the observer decided at that point, determined what the particle did in the past."
