Vienna Acoustics Klimt The Kiss loudspeaker

Vienna Acoustics Klimt The Kiss loudspeaker

Almost every assumption you might make about Vienna Acoustics' Klimt The Kiss loudspeaker by looking at it would be wrong. It is <I>not</I> a stand-mounted two-way loudspeaker. It's a three-way, with a coincident tweeter-midrange. And that ain't no stand&#151;it's an integral part of the speaker. It does <I>not</I> have a conventional cabinet&#151;there are two separate enclosures, complete with micrometer control of both vertical and horizontal axes. And those sure aren't plain-vanilla drive-units&#151;they're about as unique as they come.

DIY Portable Treatments?

Does anyone have any info on constructing portable treatments? My room is small 12 x 10 x 9 and at the majority of the left side of the room consists of windows while the majority of the right side consists of french doors that open to another room. I have a door and window at both of my first reflection points. I'd like to construct something, perhaps on casters, that I could move to those locations for listening sessions.

Live in Brooklyn

Forums

In case you missed it (as I had) I just wanted to add a big +1 to Mikey's recommendation of Arturo O'Farrill's Live in Brooklyn. This is as good as it gets, a live set of some stonking piano jazz beautifully captured in a superb recording. This is a rare treat: great music and demonstration-quality sonics. Listening chair

I had a wide, high back listening chair (where the back of the chair is the height of my head). A well respected audio engineer came over to my house to listen, and the first thing he said was that I needed a lower back chair so my ears had access to the full audio experience (side and back waves included). It actually sounds much better.

Just though I would pass on that little tip.

Do you own, or have you ever owned and used an open-reel tape deck?

Clearly, many of you still cherish your cassette decks, but what about <A href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reel-to-reel_audio_tape_recording&quot; target="new">open- reel</A>? Do you own, or have you ever owned and used a reel-to-reel or open-reel tape deck?

Yep, no controversy amongst the science community:

* Data for vital 'hockey stick graph' has gone missing
* There has been no global warming since 1995
* Warming periods have happened before - but NOT due to man-made changes

Balanced AC transformers on fleabay

There are 3 mint shape but used Hammond 10Kva 120V/240V input and 120V/240V output transformers, with screen/shield/drain wire on fleabay right now.

These are excellent choices for taking your ENTIRE system to an ENTIRELY new level of quality.

For actual dedicated music freak audiophiles, only.

Works best in the USA and Canada, where we have single sided AC.

You don't see this much any more, some of us are getting wise and grabbing them fast.

Happy V.D. Lamont!

Pull the string and I'll wink at you, I'm your puppet
I'll do funny things if you want me to, I'm your puppet

I'll be yours to have and to hold
Darling you've got full control of your puppet

Pull another string and I'll kiss your lips, I'm your puppet
Snap your finger and I'll turn you some flips, I'm your puppet

Your every wish is my command
All you gotta do is wiggle your little hand
I'm your puppet, I'm your puppet
