Hi guys!
I have recently been offered a pair Klipsch F2 speakers,a pair of Paradigm atom v.5 speakers and a Klipsch RPW-10 Sub
Do you guys think this is an alright setup? I have just graduated from university & don't have enough money to buy a super tricked out setup. Yet.
If so do you have any recommendations for other equipment to put these together with? I have read the review of the Paradigms from the Stereophile site, but am not sure what to put them with as to properly balance everything out.
Thanks! Help is much appreciated!
First of all let me preface that all input will be greatly appreciated by all.
Here's where I'm at.. I have decided to either purchase a pair of EgglestonWorks Andra II's or a pair of Avalon Indra's. I know that whichever brand I choose will be a major upgrade over my old JBL L-80T's. The JBL's were fine with mass produced, low resolution entry level gear, but its high time to get some real world loudspeakers.
On all forums there's flame wars about whether it is possible to hear the difference (read: improvement) when changing cables in a system. IC's, speaker cables and power cables included.
Even though I am 57 and cannot hear a thing over 13 kHz in a hearing test, I feel it's different with music. I have no trouble detecting minor differences when changing cables, whether one or the other type. Sometimes, e.g. with IC's it can be very minor differences, and thus hard to detect.
My question is: Why do some audiophiles clearly hear the differences, while some don't?

Meanwhile, more than 70 percent of Missouri voters endorsed a measure that would wipe out the part of the new federal health care law that requires people to have insurance. They were unswayed by the fact that the proposition was almost certainly unconstitutional and unenforceable. This was a chance to send a message that voters are fed up! With government and insiders
