I bought vdh the revelation
stereophile reviewed it in 1993 and martin sad it's bass is exceptional but in my system it's bass is not very extended.
is it possible that van den hul company decreased the cable material quality? or my setup is my problem.

Once I started reading I said, wait a minute, pulled out my Kind Of Blue LP, dropped the needle down and then started over. Maybe R2D4 is "review to die for". Kudos.

My February issue goes up to page 130 then starts over at page 99 and ends at page 113.

Anyone else having this problem?

A quick questions is there a correct order to both?

I usually turn on the preamp first then the amp and then the reverse when powering down.

One thing that is a concern though, when I don't turn the power off right after listening to whatever there is sometimes a pop that can be heard through the speakers.

Are there any good ways to cleaning long play records. Does repeated playing discharge static charges? Are there any good ways to get rid of these charges?

I have a few recordings on disc that seem to be ever so slightly out of synch and I was wondering what causes this and if it is intentional or a product of poor reproduction.

What is going on when I can hear the track begin just a split second before it actually comes in? I'm talking about an extremely low in level jump the gun kinda thing? Is this some sort of ambience enhancement attempt or what? This has me curious and I have always wanted to ask somebody what was going on. Thanks in advance.
