After hearing above mentioned amp, it is looking inevitable that I will just have to get one. However, will it drive my 805s with ease or will it be a struggle? My speaker brochure says sensitivity is 88db and impedance is 8ohms, if that helps. Im not a very technical guy so I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks

To make a long story short. I am looking to bring my 1200+ record collection back into the house (the long story). I will not be using my main system to listen (only the TT). I will be using my Linn LP12 (Lingo, Ittok, K18II) as the source, into a phono preamp(???)(This is where you come in). This will feed via AudioQuest Sky 72V into an Antique Sound Labs, MG-HEAD OTL MKIII, to a pair of audio-technica ATH-W5000 headphones.

I'm not certain what section of the forums this belongs in, but since it's about burning a cd using my pc's CD-ROM, I'll place it here.

After following along with Jim's "MP3 vs. Redbook" thread in this section and this other thread Classical MP3s audiophiles over in the Classical music section, along with all the various links and sidebars, I've come to the conclusion that with the advent of computer audio and compressed music files we've taken a big step backwards into the world of snake oil salesmanship.
