Installed new speakers . . . no sound

I don't know what I did wrong. Made all connections with everything unpowered. Connected the black/red L to the black/red on L speaker, connected the black/red R to the black/red on R speaker, triple checked that I didn't cross anything. The speaker is set up for biwiring but I couldn't find anything that said which wire you pick matters. They go black, red, black, red, so I just plugged them into the top two black, red for both speakers.

I am the lucky owner of Aurum cantus they arrived with no jumpers. How do I make jumpers? I have lots of "clear coated
speaker wire". If I run a the speaker wire between the top
posts to bottom where do I connect the "single wire speaker
cables I have?
IF some one has a good suggestion for bi wire speaker cables for these speakers I would be interested in hearing your opinion.
Right now I have a Kinergetics KBA-75, Adcom GFP-750
and Rega Apollo cd.(Cardas innerconnets)

Synergistic Research is in the process of performing a series of acoustic measurements for the Acoustic ART System in 4 different listening rooms to be published in an open report. This report should be complete and posted by the middle to the end of November. Initial low frequency measurements are in keeping with the subjective benefits of the Synergistic Research Acoustic ART System's ability to control low frequencies in an otherwise untreated room.

Ah something to mull over while bored on a Friday; I believe in evolution but I seriously feel scientists have a heck of a lot more to learn, and just maybe when considering the unimaginable high improbability for the creation of life, there is also an element of intelligent design and chance-probability/randomness does not exist.
