Hope you have an amazing time!
The Montreal audio show had one of its best years last year, and this year’s edition, so far, looks promising. I see it as proof that our hobby, and the love of good sound, will always be a priority to some. As long as there are people who listen to music, and an industry—manufacturers, retailers, the press—willing to work together and support each other for the common good, our hobby will remain vital.
I was surprised to see how many tasty audio treats were being launched or otherwise exhibited this year. I was also surprised to see flocks of people waiting outside locked exhibitor room doors 30 minutes before the show’s opening like groupies camping on a sidewalk for tickets to a rock concert. The fire still burns.
Hope you have an amazing time!

Seems to me some whookers have your account or poutine hangover... what apppened to Friday and Saturday?
...I did not have a whooker poutine hangover. (But I wish I had.)
My show report is coming soon...
ok Robert, in your reporting, how about, maybe, your experience or feel for the essence that the usa tariff war usa usa usa began, and a comment for the ripple effects on the Montreal audio show and axpona and Munich.
How do you believe it will affect global audio.
...but a couple of manufacturers at the show were quoting retail prices that included a 25% surcharge to offset the 25% tariff they will incur, and at least one exhibitor told me he feared for his job due to the repercussions the tariff would have on his employer.
I am looking forward to your show reports Robert! Montreal is my home.
About those nasty tariffs. My dealer is selling in stock items at regular price. But anything ordered from a USA company will increase in price by 25%. Sad for customers as well as manufacturers.
