An Issue 2 Die 4?

Hitting newsstands, mailboxes, and tablets today, the February Stereophile features its renowned "Records2Die4" feature, now in its 28th year! The magazine's editors and writers each recommend two recordings that they couldn't live without—the 46 albums reviewed this month would be the basis of a great audiophile music collection. Ayre's EX-8 "Integrated Hub" amplifier is featured on the cover and also reviewed in this issue are speakers from Revel and Audio Physic; amplifiers from Air Tight, CH Precision, and First Watt; and tonearms from Swedish Analog Technologies and Sorane. And don't miss Herb Reichert's account of his visit last fall to amplifier maven Nelson Pass.

Stereophile: the audio magazine that other publications wish they could equal!

ps. people don't seem to sell their Used Pairs of Revels, nearly none 4Sale on Ebay, evah! Who Knew? ans: Bob Katz who just replaced his Revels with DynAudio's newest Pro Studio LS. Bob's Revels sold ( to his intern ) before I had a chance to offer him $$$$$. Oh Well

Does the surround sound music sound good via the new Sennheiser Ambeo 13 driver (speaker) virtual surround sound, sound-bar ($2,500) shown in the recent 2019 CES? :-) ..........

Does what sound good?

Bogolu Haranath's picture

You can tell us if you review that Ambeo speaker ...... BTW, did you check the Sennheiser website for details? :-) .........

I never heard of it but I did check the Sennheiser website. It is not of any interest to me.

... be of any interest to you, perhaps it might be of interest to those readers who don't have the space to accommodate or have domestic partners who won't allow larger, more conventional speakers as part of their home theater set-up.

There are lots of products that are of interest to some people but are not appropriate for Stereophile in my opinion (not official). Soundbars are specifically designed as audio complements to video screens and we do not cover video or home theater. Even if it was otherwise, I have no way to accommodate a sound bar as my main system has no video display at all and my other system has no place for a soundbar (especially a large one like this).

Why not suggest this to Sound&Vision?
