Recently purchased a BAT VK250 to pair with an Ayre K5xe pre. Local audioshop owner could do nothing but badmouth BAT products as noisy. He remarked that, "everyone in the industry knows that BAT amps have a high noise floor." My experience is that this amp is superb and not noisy in the least. In general, this shop pooh-poohs any product they do not sell. Any comments on BAT amps, particularly the solid state VK250?
