Ill at Ease

Ill at Ease

A problem:
I spent much of this long holiday weekend feeling guilty about not doing any work. I don't really like long weekends. They mess me up, make me feel out of sorts, ill at ease.

Bel Canto eVo amp problems

Forums

I have just purchased a set of Bel Canto eVo2 amps to use as mono-blocks, and an eVo4 for my rear speakers. I have had no end of problems with these amps. Has anyone else had any problems with eVo amps? Have you overcome the problems?

The amps are noisier than I expected, there is a soft buzz or hum coming from each speaker when they are turned on. Given their reputation and technology I was expecting close to silence. They are noisier than my previous Rotel amps that are a fraction of the eVo's price.

need advice: tweak or buy new?

Hey -

i'm very novice when it comes to record players, but my boyfriend loves music and has a great system in place, but his record player is almost unusable.

Current record player makes a loud hum whenever it is playing. we know it's not the mixer or speakers becuase it doesn't hum with other audio. he is pretty savvy, so i have to think he's checked the connections and cables. he seems to think it's the player.

The reports that Sony artists were unhappy that the company had been caught compromising consumers' computers were confirmed by <A HREF="http://businessweek.com/technology/content/nov2005/tc20051122_343542.ht…;. That magazine reported that Trey Anastasio's Shine, which was released on November 1, the day after the story broke, sold 15,000 copies in its first week, but plummeted to 7,000 by week two, when the story was all over the press. Since then, all 52 albums with the XCD "protection" have been pulled. Patrick Jordon, director of marketing at Red Light Management, which reps Anastasio, said, "It's been damaging, and certainly we're going to discuss that with the label."
