I've yet to see this pet peeve of mine addressed in this RnR section - you're reading an equipment review in one the high end audio magazines and the reviewer is recounting about how the team from the factory worked so hard to get the equipment setup just right in his listening room. Wow, that's great! But then there is no mention of whether this outstanding treatment is extented to all customers or just those whose opinions will be published in a major audio magazine.

Question about Musical Fidelity X-10 v3 MU-VISTA Tube Buffer
Forgive me if this is not the right forum for this question, but it didn't seem to fit into any other. I just purchased a X-10 v3 MU-VISTA TUBE BUFFER based on quite a number of good reviews (They said it was stereophile "A" rated but I could not find the acutal review). I was wondering if anyone here has hear it or has any experence with it. i.e. Sound impressions, things to watch out for, tweaks, etc. Thanks!

Bel Canto SET 80 monoblock power amplifier Specifications

Bel Canto SET 80 monoblock power amplifier Specifications

I'm considering a pair of JA RM22si Mk.2's for a 2ch stereo system in a room that is approximately 12'6"l x 11'5"w x 9'h. I listen to predominantly jazz, small ensemble/chamber music, female vocal and acoustic pop/rock. As a result, I would happily trade off slightly rolled-off low end for transparency, neutrality and soundstage/imaging capabilities, particularly in the mids and treble frequencies. Based on reviews (professional and consumer both), the JA RM 22's seem to possess the characteristics I'm looking for.
