I am cleaning my LP collection and making an MP3 and a CD copy of each album. I am using an inexpensive Audio Technica turntable and I wondered if my finished MP3's and CD's would benefit from a turntable/stylus/cartridge upgrade- I am looking at the Pro-ject Debut III. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello everyone. I have a question about cd audio. When you look at a cd in windows explorer the songs all show up as 1kb in size no matter what the time duration is. How does this happen? Also why can't you just copy the cd audio track over to your hard drive like you would if you had a cd with MP3's on it. I have never had this explained to me. I have been using direct audio copy but was just wondering why you have to rip instead of just copying the file over. Thanks
I just aquired a Technics SL1350 Direct drive turntable. It turns to slow probably about 25% to slow. I Turned the speed adjustment under the table. No change. I took of f the bearing cleaned and oiled, with no change. The unit looks almost new and would like tp save it. Has anyone had a problem like this with a direct drive unit? Guess I'm looking to find out if there is an easy fix. And if you had one fixec, was it expensive.
Hello, I'm new to this forum. I just bought an ELAC Miracord turntable that is supplied with a 5-pin DIN plug for the amp hook-up. I need to convert this to standard phono RCA plugs. I did see some on the internet, but they were only in England. I must have picked up a European model;I know there are Miracords out there with RCA plugs on them. Should I buy and adaptor out of the country or try to splice it? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
