Hi there - I have a beogram 1203 in excellent working order and I was wondering if it was worth upgrading to a new one instead of forking out $200(AUD) each for new cartridges...Budget dictates that the most I can afford is a Goldring GR1.2, Pro-Ject Debut III...or at a stretch the Music Hall MMF-5. Does anyone know what the relative quality is between my old B&O and these new ones? Thanks!
I auditioned these about 2 months ago and loved them. The speakers I was comparing to tghe aerials were the jmlab 1007be's, sonas farber auditor bookshelfs, and dynaudio confidence c1's. I have listend to all but the 1007be's and so far would choose the aerials.
The wilson duettes where the best but priced out of my range.
What opinions do you all have?
Guys-
We are looking for help. We have 20' ceiling with a room that is approx. 30 x30. Two Polk speakers with an active base has been driving the speakers for about 6 years. Looking to upgrade. HArdwood floors with a 25x10 oriental carpet in the center with 3 couches in a square and fire place.
Music played. 50% accoustic/25% Bonnie Raitt/Bluesy/ Soft Rock. Parties of 10-15 people are often at residence.
Do not care about Video or surround. If you have an amplifier interested in that too.
Thanks
Doug
I have been in the High-End Audio industry for almost 22 years now,I have had a small loudspeaker business for about that long, but for the last 6 or 7 years my intrest in computers and computer building has sparked my intrest in putting the two together, for years computers have been limited to business word processing and data storage, but with all the latest innovations in audio and video processing the future seems promising for high-end computing especially in the area of multi-media.I still love 2 channel audio, but all of this new computer stuff gets me excited too!!! Any Thoughts??
