I recently acquired a Kenwood KA-8006 amp. It is rated at 200 watts. This amp dates back to the mid 70's. My question for you knowledgable folks is, what kind of speakers should I get to match it? Clarity and quality are extremely important to me, but I am no audiophile. It is also very important to me that these speaker can ROCK a party. I need some serious volume and bass. So, what speakers should I get?
Let's say you're having an audio party, or just wanting to tweak your audio system. Which Stereophile writer would you want to have over for an evening and why?
I'm putting my new turntable system together (thanks to all to gave me great advice in my previous post) and I need some cartridge advice. My last turntable was a JVC AL-L2OR with linear tracking and my new table (hooray) is a used Rega P5 with an RB700 arm, needless to say I have quite a bit of catching up to do and alot of questions to ask.
I have been trying to find out who made the Systemdek arm and I see it is very close to the AR arm. I was told a while ago it was Jelco but I couldn't find any info confirming that
