I have a Pioneer CT-F500 tape deck, that i got from a friend. It's from the silver age of Pioneer from the seventies. It works, but not properly. I'm having it looked at by professionals next week hopefully, but i thought i'd ask you lot for advice first incase there's something i can do without having to pay a repair bill.
Anyway, the problem is the output level. It's very, very low, and you have to turn the amp's volume up all the way to hear whatever tape is playing. Also, the VU meters aren't working. They are illuminated still, but none of the needles are moving.
Hey everyone, I am new to the audio scene. I have reviewed some products and am going to purchase the psb b25 and use just them for now and later I would like to get the psb t55 and center channel and sub. I am young (19) and this system will be for half music and half movies. I need advice on what time of amp to get? pre/power or integrated? Or to get a receiver? If a receiver is the pioneer VSX-80TXV or the Model 1070 A/V Receiver? I need help badly which type or amplification should I have to make the speakers sound the best witha budget of less than 1000 on the amp(s) or receiver.
Hi all: I have a Kenwood KR-A5070 100 w x 2 channel home receiver now powering 2 Technics speakers SB-S409 8 ohm speakers (15" woofer). I had the same model speakers w/ 12" woofers until recently when I had the 15"-ers handed down. All equipment is mid-90's vintage.
Problem...doesn't seem like I have enough power to drive these speakers...sounded better w/ the 12's but I want to unlock the power of the 15's!
I can't seem to find home receiver over 120 w? All I want is 2 channel. Will the 120 w make a big difference?
Hey does anyone know a good preamp and amp that can both be purchsed for 800 or less. Thanks. Also what exactly is the function of the preamp.... I want to power just two speakers now and later make it a surround system
