I have a pair of Infinity RS525 floor speakers that have lasted a really long time, but now they seem to be in need of replacement. I was wondering what would be a rough equivalent of the 525's nowadays? Are either the Infinity Primus 360 or the Beta 50 close (if not better)? If not, does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to spend a fortune, but I would like a decent pair of floor speakers.
Thanks!
EDIT: I noticed the Axiom m60 speakers - they are a bit more than I wanted to spend, but how are they generally regarded?
I realize that in ceiling speakers are not ideal; however, I am stuck with no other options. My house is already prewired and my wife has a fit anytime I metion floor speakers. That being said I would like to get opinions on the better quality in ciling speakers on the market. SPEAKERCRAFT?? SONANCE?? PARADIGM?? Anybody with listening experience??
I am trying to decide between the DEQX and TACT 2.2XP systems. My room has serious base problems but it also has issues with higher frequencies due to a fair bit of glass that I cant obscure with curtains etc.
Does anyone know which system is better able to correct high frequencies - DEQX in their white paper says that corrections are more effective at lower frequencies - this worries me. TACT does not have any such disclaimers. Is the processing power/algorith implementations of the two units so different that one would be much better than the other at higher frequencies?
