Old Source, new Music

In his hopeful assessment of the future (As We See It), Jon Iverson celebrates downloading as a route to finding new music. No argument from me, but there is another route that I find more fun - the used vinyl rack at my local indie record shop. Picking through the jazz the other day I happened upon a misfiled record (understandably misfiled - the cover picture was Wynton Marsalis).

How to Sell

I have a Linn Sondek LP12 that I bought new in 1977 with an Alphason HR100S tonearm and a Madrigal Carnegie One mc cartridge. It was considered the best set-up around at the time. It has had very little use and in storage for the last 10 years. I plan to list it in classifieds but have been told I will get more if I sell the tone arm, cartridge and table seperately. I have obviously been out of touch with the market for some time. What should I do? Thanks for your opinions!

Of the many advantages of living in NYC, Doctors has got to be one of the biggest. Many, many good, no nonsense ones to choose from, if you or your insurance can pay. Cosmic Justice. I survived HE 2007 only to fall prey to my own impatience. Instead of sliding the vegetable drawer in my refrigerator out slowly like a normal person, my tired, irritable and schmoozed out self jerked it and it jumped its track and smashed my foot. Damned apples and carrots weigh too friggin' much. After three days of denial and whistling in the graveyard about how it was gonna be fine, I finally broke down and dipped a damaged toe in the health care system. One scalpel slice later and things are looking up on the sore paw front.

Gotta sell, all else is meaningless

So many of the upitty companaies that won't allow online sales of their stuff, will eventually find out this is the 21st century. Make stuff available, easy to find, easy to purchase, sells more than trying to be hoity toity uppity. Move the merchandise. The ones that stick to only in store joints ain't gonna make it, too much stuff available online in every category. Online is the way to find what you need, faster, easier, less hassle.

Newbie Needs Help!!

Hey guys. Im moving into a new pad. Need help setting up the right HT setup. My question here is on speakers: I need help choosing between essentially 2.

Room: 15.5' deep x 16' wide. But there is an open kitchen which is an additional 100sqft. but the main listening area is the above spec.

I will be listening to music as well as watching movies on a 110inch Projector. sitting 14.5ft from the screen and speakers.

I've tested and narrowed down to two:
1)B&W 703
2)KEF XQ5's.
or
3)B&W CM7
