How Stereo Review Skewed the Conclusions to Larry Greenhill's Blind Cable Test
I'm very happy to discover Larry Archibald's 1983 response to Stereo Review's Blind Cable Test has been added to the archives. I read the original piece in Stereo Review 24 years ago, and did not trust it. Something didn't make sense. I was hardly an audiophile - I owned used Advent speakers, a Pioneer receiver, and an old Dual turntable/Grado cartridge at the time - but I sensed that something was awry. So I decided to experiment on my own. I went to an electronics store and bought some 12-gauge silver wire to replace the lamp cord I was using as speaker wire.

Hi I'm new to this forum and have a question regarding my NAD523 CD player. I got one the CD stuck in the unit and in the process of getting in out I manually turn the disk turn table. Now the unit is out of sync. It is very easy to open the unit up but I have been unable to line it back up even though I put the disc right under the spindle. Any suggestions out there?????? Thanks in advance for any help.
Dan
