I don't know where else to put this, so Stephen can feel free to move it to another category.
I have been looking around for a place to modify (and hopefully, improve) my Audio Innovations Model 1000 tube monoblocks.
I ran across a local fellow who, on his website, quotes a positive endorsement from Art Dudley. I took him at his word and dropped the amps off last Thursday. His name is Blackie Pagano (dba "Tubesville").

Hi folks,
Is anyone familiar with Vincent gear? There is very little on the net about it...most in languages I can't read. A local audio dealer recently began carrying the brand but only has the top-of-the-line models (i.e., items I can't afford
) for demo. I'm just looking for the basic 2 channel integrated amp and cdp.
Thanks.
Mike

B&W 802d with NAD Master Series or Lyngdorf TDA 2200/CD1?
I HAVE A DREAM (and a dilemma) :-)
First a little background:
As a student and have a limited income, but have got a fair price for my old surround system, changing to stereo now. But my pocket doesn't contain limited depths.
For the new system, I have decided to focus on the speakers as the main and heavy part of the setup (and economy) and buy an amp/player, that, while not being completely up to the price/performance standard of the speakers, will get the job done within certain sense.
I started out pretty high on the audiophile spectrum in the early 70s, with a Tandberg-Tandberg-Thorens-Bozak system. It's been all down-hill from there from an audio point of view.
Now I've got three rooms filled with old stereo gear, acquired free from relatives, in various states of decrepitude and failure.
