Maybe this is old news to some, but for audiophile LPs I've mostly been shopping at Acoustic Sounds. Good place, nice selection, but painfully expensive when you get into the 180 gram stuff. So I saw a link from Tone Magazine record reviews to Soundstage Direct. Wow! 180 gram records for $13.99? Nice! That's more like it- a lot more like it. Anyway, thought there'd be many other vinyl junkies around that'd appreciate the tip.
Over the years, i have found less material in the magazinee that i could use with my audio hobby. I am 50, i doubt that i will ever purchase ultra expensive audio products, for one thing my hearing is not what it used to be. If the record reviews were expanded and there were more pages devoted to older used gear, maybe I would be more interested. Now the mag seems more like an advertisement for high end products and has lots of snob appeal. I loved the old Listener mag, too bad its gone.............
Hey everyone,
I've noticed in my times as an audiophile, that people are rather opinionated about which audio formats they use, so I made a list and want to know what other people think.
Cast your vote for the best audio format
If your preferred format isn't there, feel free to add it.
-Thanks
