Hi, I'm a home recordist. I have some studio reference monitors that are pretty darn good but are a 2.1 system. I haven't really had a viable studio in quite a few years, but am trying to put one together since moving to Thailand.
Someone I can no longer get in touch with, bought some Audiophile quality monoblock preamps made here under the management of a guy from the US, I believe. Does anyone know about these, this guy, or how to get in touch with him?

I just want my audio from the TV to play thru my Stereo system? I have a Phillips flat screen with a million conections and a Music Hall 25.2 amp with very little connections. Can I do this with this system, and if yes, how? I can connect the audio of my dvd player thru the Music Hall amp when I play DVDs but lost as to how to make regular old TV to play thru the stereo.

I am saddened to have read that a man of Art Dudley's stature and writing talents is forced to supplement his income by playing at wedding receptions. Jobs in the wedding industry are some of the thankless and grueling jobs out there. You get a glimpse of it from Art's description of the audience's reaction to the band. It's a shame that Art has to be a part of that industry given his obvious talents as a writer and having run a magazine of his own.

I'm a newbe to the forum but I am about to buy speakers for my system. I an entry level Sony Receiver STR-DE598 and want to utilize the 5.1 surround. Right now I have a PS3 pushing the optical cable for 5.1 surround. I have a Kenwood CS-V610 center channel and want to get a descent pair of front left/right speakers. I am looking at the Bose 201, I need for them to be around the $225.00 mark for a pair. Can anyone point me in the direction for a descent pair of front L/R speakers for my system? Are the Bose allright or should I look at a different brand?
