Musical Fidelity Tri-Vista SACD transport repair

I know this is old issue with this player, but I am not sure I have a clear answer if it is possible to repair or replace the transport by Musical Fidelity. I heard that Musical Fidelity can replace the transport with a new transport used in the MF KW SACD player.

I do some research, and it seems to me that Musical Fidelity have a bad and discontinued Phillip transports in this expensive SACD model. If the transports go bad, they can't do anything about it.

Could someone please help to clarify?

Thanks.

Feeling As One

Feeling As One

A few nights ago, I listened to mezzo-soprano Lorraine Hunt Lieberson's recording of J.S. Bach's great solo cantata, "Ich habe genug" (It is enough), BWV 82 (Nonesuch 79692-2). Hunt Lieberson was one of those rare mezzos, like Janet Baker and Kathleen Ferrier before her, whose voice conveyed an innately spiritual sense of connection with something greater than the individual self. Especially when she sang softly, she was able to imbue her tone with a hallowed reverence that is easier to feel than describe in words. To the extent that anyone can communicate the "tender mercies" and sacred intimacies of life, love, and spirit, Lorraine Hunt Lieberson proved herself a master.

Cantus "Cantus" -- is anyone else having problems?

I listened to this disc for the first time on my brand new He Audio 1.2B electrostatic phones. All was well until I got to track 10, in which the choir is accompanied by a large drum. The first drum strike (about 5 seconds into the track) gave rise to a "crackling" sound that immediately had me thinking the 1.2B diaphragms were hitting the stators. Each subsequent strike---there are 4 or 5 altogether---produced a similar effect.

Lack of Classical New-Releases on LP

This really bugs me. I've been buying a lot of LPs of late, getting into it. I love the trove of valuable, out-of-print classical LPs I can purchase for cheap, especially as I live in NYC. But! What's with all the major labels ignoring the LP releases altogether for their new releases?!? Or am I mistaken and am overlooking some vendor where I might find some new releases? This really bothers me b/c on the rock side, I can buy some new releases, like the Portishead, the Black Keys, No Age or whatever on LP, and most of them even include free MP3s or CDs with the albums.
