Wadia i170

I understand Wadia is coming out with their new i170 which seems to be a gift from above for those amateurs amongst us that still like the practicality of going through iTunes (preferably with lossless files of course). If I understand it correctly I can download lossless files to an iPod, then plug it into the i170, and out comes the most beautiful signal that my amp readily understands.

How components (amps fit together) - please explain

First of all, thanks to everyone who is sharing their wisdom, experience, ideas and suggestions in this forum. It is a great way for neophytes, newbies and other wannabies like myself to learn a thing or two about to experience sound with quality a tad better than your regular AM radio station.

My question relates to how certain components fit together, and what purpose they serve.

no sound, help.

hey, i have a dual 1264 and it was doing fine, then the sound stopped coming from the speakers and the tone arm just went up and down. i fixed the tone arm but still no sound comes from my speakers. some sound does come out when i plug the TT into the "tape" inputs in the back of my reciever, but no sound comes out of the phono jacks? any insight would be much appreciated.

Amongst all the hand–ringing and head–scratching and kvetching about the music business and what we're going to do with our CDs and LPs and how iPods sound like shit but are the future whether we like it or not (in my case, the jury's still out), it's a good idea, at least in my overamped case, to step back, close–a–dee mouth and occasionally remember that at the bottom of all this claptrap, there's still music. Which I (we) presumably still love.
