Folks,
I'm seeking advice on an integrated amp. I recently purchased a pair of PSB Alpha B1 speakers for my office. At present, they're being driven by a first generation Sonic Impact T-amp. Most of the listening in my office is done via a Squeezebox Classic.
I don't want to spend more than $300 to $500 for the amp. I don't mind buying used equipment.
Given my current equipment, what integrated amps do you think should be on my short list?
Thanks.
I read the blog a while back where Ariel bought a whole bunch of equipment only to find that one of his speakers sounded muffled. It seemed as though the problem may have been with the tweeter getting disconnected from the crossover.
I was wondering if there's a followup to this story. Did you get your speaker fixed? What was the problem and what did it cost to fix?
OK, so, admittedly, I'm not a true "audiophile"--yet. I still don't get the technical stuff, but I guess I just have a thing for high quality audio. So this is my question. Right now I have a pair of Grado SR60s. I think they sound terrific, but I have been thinking about getting some of Beyerdynamic "Manufaktur" cans. Have you heard anything about these? Obviously, these are pricey (except for those of you that buy REALLY expensive stuff)so I don't want to waste $400.
Thanks!
Please be gentle...
Ive just purchased a mixed season pass to the CSO, this covers everything from piano peices, violin, brass and full orchestral, 14 concerts in all between Sept and June 2009
Would it be of interest to post thoughts on each night as the season goes on for discussion or would it get boring and presumptuous very quickly ?
Let me know what you think, dont worry about being direct im very thick skinned !!

I read the PB13 review by Larry Greenhill and would like to comment on the review. First of all, they claimed the specs wrong. The driver has a 3'' excursion capability, not 2'' claimed in the review.
How is the PB13 95lbs lighter than the REL when there is only 50lbs difference? (205-155=50)
The reviewer compared the PB13 to dual JL f113s and claimed the JLs produced deeper soundstage. Isn't that unfair since dual subs will almost alway give a deeper soundstage?
I recently picked up my original copy of Bob Dylan's Bringing It All Back Home (1965), and read some great comments on the inner-sleeve. Some of these are still applicable, but others are almost comical. I thought you guys would get a kick out of it, anyway.
Being a vinyl junkie, I'm not trying to start a flame war, but even the most aggressive vinyl enthusiast has to admit that some of this is humorous by today's standards:
