Seeing people who weren't into Tom Waits ask about which albums would be good starter albums to check out was cool. Heck, it warmed this old jaded audiophile to the cockles of my heart.
Actually, deeper than that. Maybe way down into my sub-cockle region.
Anyway, this week is Van Morrison week here in exile, so...I thought I'd see if we could get some back and forth going on Van Morrison.
So, how about it, favorite Van Morrison albums?
Limit three.
I'll even go first.
I'm thinking some of you know Taschen, the publisher of art books who also have fancy bookstores in major cities around the world. There's a Taschen store in Seoul, Korea called Taschen Classic 1812, and not only is it a swanky bookstore, but also a restaurant with a formidable selection of wine, coupled with audio cafe that houses 5000 LPs and 1000 CDs! You can see the pics from the link below, but the sources are McIntosh MVP 861, Michell Gyrodec and Thorens TD124 MkII. Dynaudio C4 and Altec-Lansing A5(!) for speakers. McIntosh C46 pre and MC501 power for electronics.

So I brough home my Def Tech Mythos ST's yesterday and go 'em all set up. Was tired and went to bed and woke up this morning ready to get everything hooked up to my Yamaha RX-V2095. Hooked everything up, and the Yamaha won't even turn on. It turns on for a brief milisecond and then immediately shuts off. I tried unplugging the speakers to see if it was a wiring issue that was causing the receiver to shut down automatically, and the same thing happened: It powers on for a milisecond and then immediately turns off.
So now what???
