Looking for some great active desktop monitor/ speaker suggestions. I am starting to upgrade my Harmon Kardon 8 watters for something a little more substantial. I have looked st M-Audio Studiophile AV40s, KRK Monitors and Quad 11Ls (I think that is their model numbers). I am interested in using these with a desktop system that will start out with a basic set-up and eventually include a top end sound card along with some higher end cables. I may opt for a studio monitor with a sub out also. I like headphone outputs and rca connections - 1/8" inputs are nice as well but, not manditory.
First of all, I am an enormous JC Superstar fan, and having played Caiphas in many, many productions of the show, ive seen a lot of the guys..but noone will ever, ever touch Ted Neeley and Carl Anderson, in my opinion. I have a lot of Neeleys albums, but could someone tell me which among Carl Anderson's albums is a good start?? Carl was amazing(RIP) and I sadly have not heard much outside of JC Superstar..
Something that has him showing off, pure ego..that would be nice.
Hello all
Just getting started, and need some advice. I originally got introduced to the audio bug about ten years ago with my Rega Plannar 3 with a Sumiko Blue Point, which with limited budget, I opted for a Denon amp, ran through Cardas entry level cables to Energy C2 Bookshelf speakers. The sound was entry level fantastic for me IMHO.
May your music fill your life!
