I've read the various reviews in Stereophile on the Cary CD 303/300, the Ayre CX-7e and the Bryston BCD-1. All were excellent accounts and certainly grabbed my attention - and based on these reviews, all three are now on my short list for consideration. Unfortunately, I have only heard the Ayre (without the MP upgrade), which was a bit forward but astounding in its detail and vocal realism. The other two brands aren't easily found in my neck of the woods.

This is very nice and on the heals of the recently discovered lost Beethoven Piano Trios performed in Chicago recently.

I just bought a used pair of martin logan vantage speakers. they were working great until i changed my amp and plugged in my rca cable with the amp powered. i heard a loud noise at the rca connection. and since then one speaker has played louder. i tested the speakers individually and one is damaged.it has messed up the imaging. right now i have added 4dbs for a temporary solution from my processor to try and even out the sound .looking for repair solutions ?
