I'm looking for early references to "Upsampling". Despite Google or stereophile.com's internal search engine, I can't seem to come up with the topical coverage I recall (I have print versions of Stereophile since roughly May 1992).
Can someone help me out? Think the articles I may be thinking of were in or around reviews of certain dCS and/or MF stuff from 1996-200?.
Thx!
I have been a LONG time reader of stereophile and I currently have a great 7.1 home theater system that can really knock your socks off. I've decided that I would like to build a dedicated 2 channel system that I can use for some serious listening.
The problem I am facing now is being overwhelmed with options. Also, I want to integrate a vinyl source but know very little about turn tables.
I asked about a computer based system and discovered it would be prohibitively expensive so...I am thinking about a MP3/dock combo...
I was looking at the Samsung P3 (32) which accepts FLAC files but I cannot find a dock that bypasses the MP3 DAC and will give me a digital out through the dock...
Does such a thing exist. I would go IPOD but they do not support FLAC files...
