A reader of <A HREF="http://blog.stereophile.com/stephenmejias/love_comes_close_again/#COMME… blog</A> states: "Vinyl-download bundles are a complete win-win for me, and I would choose the bundle over a CD every time." How about you? Would you prefer a vinyl-download bundle to the CD release of an album?

Miles Columbia - Complete

Forums

And just as everyone's debit cards begin to cool from an orgy of Beatles purchases, comes this.

Miles Davis: The Complete Columbia Album Collection

I am such an MF it doesn't matter that I've bought most of this music more than once - I'll get it for the new stuff, for what I hope will be the Japanese mixes of Agartha and Pangea and...uhhhh...because I'm hopelessly addicted to MD.

Nels Cline news

So a few months ago I got a call from a guy in Louisville, Kentucky
telling me about this new covers project he was putting together and
asked if I'd contribute a track to benefit Teach for America. The
idea is that our generation of songwriters was "mentored" by those
who came before, and in this spirit we'd cover a track from some of
the greats of the sixties and seventies.

Apple and EMI To Release Limited Edition Stereo USB

I am sure this release has not escaped anyone's attention. The interesting aspect from my perspective was the inclusion of 24-bit 44.1 kHz FLAC files (alongside 320 kbps MP3 versions). Very irritating for those who like me already ordered the stereo boxed set on CD and were intending to rip the discs to FLAC anyway!
