I have decided to spend my free time devoting my energy toward my family and community. These forums seem to bring out the worst in everyone and very infrequently enlighten. The world is what we make of it, and I will try to make it a better place for my children and for all those souls that have yet to enter this world. They will inoccently expect freedom, personal rights of expression, thought and religion. They will wish to be able to pursue their dreams unhindered, and not to live under the oppressive atmosphere of an elitist "Nanny State".
Obviously at least one old groaner does as he has already told me I should use a "music forum".
Others have complained about politics.
What a bunch of losers!
Even the introduction posted under GENERAL DISCUSSION FORUMS states:
"It's not all-audio all-the-time in the Stereophile forums. The Open Bar is the place to discuss politics, entertainment, science and nature, sports and leisure, arts and literature, the weather, or whatever. Not for the faint of heart."
These forums seem to not have a lot of activity but how about making a regular-ish feature of posting a piece of music every week.
That way we can all maybe find something new.
Might even like it.
You never know.
I mean surely you guys don't all have only the same handful of audiophile recordings... do you???
I'll start the ball rolling with Chehei Hatakeyama and this piece called Waves.
Waves
I am really intriqued by the 24 bit version of the stereo box set of the Beatles that you can get. It is only 44kHz, but the 24 bit should make a big difference. Has anyone heard this???????? What does it sound like?
