In this thread, more technical details of layout/topology and internal images were requested for the Ayre QB-9 D/A processor. The thread evolved quite nicely and, IMO, definitely serves a need for technophiles as well as the more-curious general reader.
Can someone repeat this for the Meridian 808.2 CD player?
Let me get the ball rolling with these top-cover-off images I found on the German web site, stereoplay.de
Audio Pro = Swedish brand. http://www.audiopro.com/ Anybody know anything about their subwoofers or their speakers in general?
They appear to offer a fairly extensive line. Not high priced, but maybe a good value-for-money trade-off?
Googling turned up some reference to them on UK A/V forums and some mostly favorable consumer ratings but not much else.
I was just browsing Craigslist and saw a used HD-DVD player. Now we all know that the HD-DVD format is obsolete. Since it is backward compatible with Audio CDs what about using one as a transport for coaxial and/or optical SPDIF out?
The one I saw was:
Toshiba HD-XA2 1080p HD-DVD Player - $98 USED
[coax and Toslink digital audio outs]
Gather together two known and accomplished psychics.
Gather together two accomplished scientists.
Gather together two accomplished regression hypnotists.
Have one of each..gather together into two groups of the three individual backgrounds in each of those two groups. A psychic, a scientist, and the regression hypnotist as 'a group'.
Move the groups apart from one another as far away and isolated...and as in different a location as you may desire.
Any ideas for new/used amps, power or integrated to drive Magnepan MMGs? I'm exploring subwoofers to take the sub-50 Hz duty. I might even play around with various high pass filters to completely relieve the MMGs below 50 Hz. I saw a used Creek 5350S which looked promising.
