Warner bros have re-issued Dire Strait's first album as well as Communique'. They are to soon release the other albums as well. These are by far the best recordings I have heard!
I've compared this 180 gm LP to my original Warner's 1978 LP and a Vertigo records re-issue. The Warner's 180 gm LP is more musical in every aspect. It is my #1 desert island disc!
Michael Fremer will need to buy 3 copies:
One to play as his new demo standard;
the second to use when # 1 wears out;
the 3rd to keep for posterity!

All of the speakers I have owned in the past have always had rather large bass drivers incorporated into their designs. These speakers have always been very satisfying to me with how well they can fill the room with sound and move tons of air with very little effort. My previous speakers were Klipsch Chorus II's with 2 x 15" drivers per cabinet and my current speakers are Legacy Signature III's with 3 active 10" drivers per cabinet. I'm using a PASS Labs X250 for amplification

Shit Happens. I've done stupid shit while drunk too (although never as
badly as you did the other night).
I have a Mark Levinson No.38 preamp that has been stored for quite sometime. A thick film of dust settled on top of the chassis over 5 years. I wiped it down with a damp microfiber cloth, but it still seems to have a somewhat dull finish on top. Possibly denatured alcohol?
What could I use to bring back the high sheen?
