Is there a problem with the forum?

A few times over the past couple of days, when attempting to view the forum, I get a whole page of stuff like this:

"Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Unknown MySQL Server Host 'simcmmgdb2' (2) in /usr/local/webroot/stereophile/forum/mysql.inc.php on line 36"

It happens with IE or Firefox, and soon it's back to normal. Has anyone else seen this behavior? I thought Stephen and John might like to know about it, so I'm posting.

KEF Reference Series, how do the different finishes sound?

What do you think the color to color variability is in the sound?

We also don't hear much about which veneers sound best on any given speaker.

Walnut? Cherry? Maple?

I'm sure they all have sonic differences, no?

(I mean, if someone can tell the best arrangement of screw tightening pattern for the lid of an amplifier, something as vast as veneer characteristics should have easily differentiated sonics.)

mr. dudley's phono cartridges

Mr. AD:

I am a long time reader going back to Listener. I enjoyed the article this month on the Electroc..... amps. When reading the section about the reviewer's gear, I noticed that you show a Shilabe cartridge. Can you tell me if you bought one, is it the same one that MF reviewed and if so, are you doing a second opinion on it to be published later. A friend has one and it is a cartridge that I am very interested in learning more about.
Thanks.

On Building Quality

Some MP3 files DO sound BETTER on cheap playback equipment. MP3 files CAN sound good on high resolution playback equipment. MP3 quality CAN be very good - or awful - or anywhere in between and ultimately depends on the talent of the recording/mixing/mastering engineer.

Is this a lot of juice?

In the papers following my amplifier, it says that it is capable of 150Wpc i 8 Ohms, 230Wpc i 4 Ohms, but a mindblowing +/- 40 Amperes of peak current.

In my book this is pretty much, but knowing my amp very well (on year 4 now), I have no reason to not believe it. How much current is your amp capable of letting go, compared to the Wattage?
