Audiophiles often find themselves the go-to person for audio advice and shopping assistance. Have you ever helped someone buy their first audio system? How did it go?
Ive always been into music but got back into hifi about 4 years ago.
You spend a little while chasing a reasonable sound, most normal people stop at that point. Once you have a decent system you start to get picky and look for improvements, the thing that ive now totally accepted is that we are wasting a lot of time and money.
You were the only one who acted on my post. You are up around 20%, as per my vague recollection. You bought when gold was "too high," and, once again, the Great Yellow Turd is "too high...er."
I don't predict this shit. But you are now sitting on 20%, while others are butt-fucking each other for 3%.
Hold that coin.
Now that gold is busting higher, the media geeks are questioning the move. And the apocalyptic freaks are foreseeing the end of days. Neither will be right.
Hi
I'm looking for a Y cable with RCA male plugs at the Y end and a 1/4 inch male microphone plug at the other. There are a million of these with mini-plugs at that end (most of them are in drawers scattered around my house), but I haven't seen any with 1/4 inchers. Should I stop looking and get an adaptor with a 3.5 mm female socket at one end and 1/4 inch male at the other, or does any know of the perfect Y cable?
Regards
S
I was picking Pat Leonard's brain (he is a mega producer/engineer/composer) about the making of "Amused to Death" and he mentioned that "Toy Matinee" was his favorite album, the one he was most proud of making..
anyway, got it and it blows me away. Sounds great, fantastic songs...
Forget about using a dish towel in the state of Oregon or in Minneapolis. Letting china air-dry is the only allowable way.
In Florida, you're in trouble if you shatter more than three dishes per day, or chip the edges of more than four cups and/or saucers. If you get your kicks tossing plates, don't try it from any window above the ground floor of a house or apartment in Freeport, Illinois.
In Kansas, you can't stack plates more than eight high.
