I posted a long while ago how much I liked the Centrance DACPort with my AKG 701 headphones.
After reading the follow up review in the latest Stereophile issue, I went to Radioshack and picked up a 1/4" headphone jack to RCA adapter (the gold plated one that is a pure adapter (no audio wire).
The DACPort has a volume control, so I'm going straight into my amplifier from the adapter, as mentioned in the follwup.
Well, I got a couple of surround sound disc that I wanted to comment on. First, I got Mojo by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers on Blu-Ray. The two channel is really killer on the higher rez, deep bass, clear mix, wonderful highs. The surround mix is interesting in that it is mostly atmospheric in the surrounds. It sounds like the space opens up, the reverb comes from behind and the sides, only occasional dramatic use of the surrounds, and I like that. I am not a huge fan of Petty, but I am enjoying this and bought it to support the idea of using blu-ray as a high resoloution medium.
I need a some clarification on this and any help will be greatly appreciated from all. I'm not the sharpest tack in the box
I have two dedicated 20 amp outlets. My power conditioner is plugged into one of the wall outlets. The power onditioner has 8 outlets on it. everything is plugged into the conditioner.
My question is this: What amperage power cords do I need for my amps, CD transport, D/A converter?
I'm sure some will protest (for many reasons) that I place this post here but it's in response to a site "feature" dated just yesterday so why not?
