I finally have gotten my EW Andra's hooked up. Pure bliss!
I feel as if I am hearing my music collection for the first time. These speakers are nothing short of spectacular in the midrange and high frequencies. The microdynamics are as good as it gets IMHO. Nothing, and I repeat nothing sounds constrained.
I am waitng for my ML 336 to get back from having its caps replaced, currently my Adcom 555 is driving them. I feel the Bass region could be better, but that could very well be attributed to the Adcom.
This is funny...the fellow hacked his local news's teleprompters

It is subtitled...
After listening to music for years using casual speakers, I decided it is time to give myself a treat and build up some hi-fi sound system. While working on this assigment, I have revealed how wide area I enter and at the moment I am flooded by information and try to find my way out of it. I would be very happy to hear an advice from the experienced.
I guess it could be useful, if I summarize what my expectations are:
I am a recent convert to tubes (about 3 years) and have purchased a tube line stage and power amp, and have done a great deal of reading on the subject but I only recently came across this tube when reading about the Wright Sounds WPP 100 phono stage. this unit uses 4 of these tubes along with 2 12AU7's.
In all the searches I have done for tube gear and in all the reading I have done I did not come across a unit using the 6ER5 tube except for the Wright Sounds unit.
With the media reporting Obama unwelcome at some campaign stops and the Repubs running both away from their last power trip and towards a return to ... what? 2008? or further into a fanciful, "principled" history via their Magical WayBack Machine, where's W?
