My current system is more set up for movies. I tried to buy a system years ago that could do both but it failed miserably IMO. Weak soundstage no matter what speakers I bought including B&K which I returned at the time of purchase.

Just out of curiosity: what are you using for your cd to preamp/receiver connection: Digital coax or analog cables? How does it matter to you?

I am in the process of replacing my current speakers. I have narrowed the choices to:
Avalon Eidolon Diamond
MartinLogan Summit
B&W 800D
Any thoughts/recommendations?

hi im looking for surround sound speakers
that will sound good for movies and music.
as most surround speakers sound good with movies
but suck with music. im looking for somthing
that can give me the best of both worlds
as both are important to me.. front mains must
be full towers. and the rest is fair game.
