Looks like the audiophiles have finally figured out Monster cables are NOT worth the huge cost. Monster announced drastic layoffs last week, and is sending the remains of cable production to the sweatshops of China. Funny, Noel can afford naming rights to Candlestick Park, but can't afford to pay the people that made him rich. Take it from an insider, don't buy Monster products. Not worth it!
What if the PHAKE SOUNDS better than the original? Now wouldn't THAT be something? And it's more FLEXIBLE...hmmmm, might be more practical? About safety....is the original UL listed, ETL any testing certs? Funny, how the wire world, now has snakers snaking the snakers.......I'm sure the original is a fine product, just like all the others are, well enginenered, thorougly tested to industry standards, and a proven engineering project. What's the voltage this month, AQ has none in that nice full page slcik glossy ad in AS this month.
I've noticed that "Monster Cable" brought out a new, well,i wouldn't say format, rather a "way of recording" called "Super disc".Only 2 dvd and 2 cd are out.Out of curiosity,i ordered one,a dvd by "3 doors down".I didn't expect much, because usually these things are marketing gimmings.Imagine my surprise when i played it last night to find out that not only both audio and video are absolutely marvelous but the picture is in anamorhic (16x9) format as well. Worth a try guys !
Madeleine Peyroux's new album "Half the Perfect World" comes out tomorrow. The samples I've heard sound superb, this might be her best work yet.
Also, Diana's Krall new album "From This Moment On" should be out soon, it also sounds great. In my opinion, though she has a good voice, her delivery has been kind of sterile in her past recordings. However, for this album I think the material just works for her. The second half of '06 is turning out to be a good one for music releases I think.
