If Kroger and Best Buy are getting back into vinyl it ain't just a fluke anymore.
Connecting the optics to the ckt board? I don't think so, so why add magic AFTER the source of the original signal coming off a disc? http://www.daisy-laser.com/images/products/SACD/sd63/module/SD63Module01x500.jpg
Hello,
I found an unbelievable bargain - KEF iQ5 speakers + Pioneer Elite SX-A9-J amp for about the same amount that I sold my Audioengine 5 for! I'm awaiting their delivery, but have never used such equipment before. I'd like to know how I should connect them. I'm thinking of buying the Belden 5000UE cable. Is this a good choice? Also, how should the cable be terminated? I have attached photos of the terminals of both the amp and the speakers.
Reader Mike Agee asks: "I'd like to hear about great audio products that have managed to go under-reviewed in the audio press. I realize there are many reasons why this might happen, from manufacturer reluctance [to submit review samples] to bad timing in the marketplace, but we all know there are a real winners out there that never made a recommended list."
Hi
Im still in search of that last missing peice of the puzzle for my new system.
Ive now settled on
Rega 3 with DV20 High output (to be upgraded shortly )
Quad CDP2/pre 99/909 power amp
Quad 22 speakers, quad L sub
The problem im having is that I love the mids and treble of teh Quads, it really makes the music jump out for me, guitars etc just seem to sound great, the issue is that the bass is to wooly and uncontrolled, theres enough of it but its just flabby with no snap.
Anyone have experience with these?
