Panels on Front Wall?

Would panels on a front wall (behind main speakers) do any good? I know it's a very general question.... I have a pair of Monitor Audio GS60's, due to room setup, I just can't pull them more than 1 foot away from the front wall. I also live in a small, rented condo right now. I can't do anything drastic, but would like to do something... Sometimes the bass seems a bit boomy--I'd assume it's b/c the GS60's are too close to the wall.

Calling anything “IMPORTANT,” particularly a record, often sucks the life out of it and dooms it to a kind of overly academic hell to be debated by talking heads and those that “were there.”

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for a set of portable speakers or a table radio for my kitchen/dining room. If I could choose one, it would be the Meridian F80 CD Receiver, but $3000 is too much.

iPod speakers are also a nice option, but almost none of them have a CD player.

Truth is, I just need a nice music source that I can move around relatively easy, and for about $300-$500.

Any suggestions?
