Hey all,
I do realize that the m200s have an integrated amp, but i'd like to compare the Refs and swans purely on the basis of SQ. I can get them for a similar price(the bookshelves with a t-amp.)
These will be my first set of bookshelves and will be used with my computer. I listen to mostly alt. rock and folk(so acoustic mostly), If you want to get a breakdown of what i listen to, check out my last.fm page. I'm not sure how to describe the 'sound' i prefer, though i do love the Senn HD-595's headphones.
Completely new audio cables-different method of conduction.
I have, after thinking on transmission line theory for nearly 20 years... managed to get myself into a situation where I have accidentally created what will likely be a watershed moment in transmission line theory, as applied to the ideas and understandings in audio.
I did this..all in the name of better audio! Tunage, dudes!! It's all about the tunage!
Once again that old bugaboo I have always had to deal with, that paradigm shift in people's understanding of the human perception mechanism. It's rearing it's head again.

So, when I recently moved into a new house I finally got my chance to install a dedicated power line to my audio system. As "luck" would have it, the logical place for my system had no access to power in any reasonable manner. Ah ha! say I- I can call up my helpful electrician and get a nice dedicated 20 amp line installed. I also order the PS AUDIO/SOLOIST IN-WALL POWER CONDITIONER for good measure. I figured with a Class A integrated amp that takes a lot of juice, it'd be nice to go directly to the wall.

Hi,
Im new here and thought I'd just let everyone know about an auction on ebay. It's for a Sargent-Rayment pre amp and amp. Never seen one listed there before. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:IT&ih=003 ebay

So much for new RoHS rules, cars? What is gonna have failures? What about all that magic "good sounding" solders? Looks like the mix matters. http://www.broadcastnewsroom.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=192654
